Fremantle's newest project space.
A platform for contemporary cross-pollination.

PS Art Space (PSAS) opened in 1994 in a large converted warehouse in Fremantle's West End precinct, offering subsidised artists studio. Initially called Allegretta Studios, it then changed its name to Paris Schairer Art Studios & Gallery and recently relaunched from an address (Pakenham Street Art Space) to an entity, and changing its name to PS Art Space (PSAS) in 2012.

As Fremantle's leading centre for artist studio spaces, the organisation has continued to build on its innovative foundations, growing to facilitate the expanding field of contemporary art through a wide variety of exhibition, studio, curatorial and education programs, including theatrical productions. With the artist firmly placed at the centre of all of our activities, we are positioned at the nexus between the production of contemporary art through our studio programs, and its presentation through our exhibitions and events.

PSAS artist studios currently offers 43 studio spaces.
